What I can do for your car

Five core services, all performed mobile at your home or workplace anywhere on the South Shore. Every job starts with an honest look at the paint and the interior — I would rather talk you into the right service than the expensive one.

Full Detail — Interior + Exterior

This is the one to book if the car has not had real attention in a while, or if you just want it as close to new as a car can get without going to a body shop. It is a full day's work on most vehicles and it covers everything, inside and out.

The process

  • Wheels, tires, wheel wells and lower panels first — the dirtiest work happens before anything touches the paint.
  • Thick foam pre-wash to lift and float loose grit off the surface before contact.
  • Safe two-bucket contact wash with clean, grit-guarded media.
  • Chemical decontamination and a clay treatment to pull out embedded fallout, so the paint is smooth to the touch instead of gritty.
  • Blown out and hand dried with plush towels — door jambs, mirror housings, badge gaps, all of it.
  • Gloss enhancement or protection applied to the paint, plus dressing on exterior trim and tires.
  • Interior: full vacuum including under the seats and in the seat rails, carpets and upholstery cleaned, all plastics and vinyl wiped down and dressed to a factory satin (not greasy), glass cleaned inside and out.
  • Final walkaround with you before I pack up.

Who it's for: enthusiasts who want the whole car reset in one visit, anyone prepping a car for sale or trade-in, new-to-you used cars that need a proper baseline, and daily drivers that have quietly gotten out of hand.

Machine polishing

Paint Correction & Polish

Those cobwebs you see under a streetlight or in direct sun are swirl marks — thousands of fine scratches, mostly put there by bad washing. A wax hides them for a week. Machine polishing removes them. This is the service that makes black and dark paint look like liquid instead of dusty.

The process

  • Full decontamination wash and clay first — polishing dirty paint just grinds the dirt in.
  • Paint inspected under strong light to see what the defects actually are and how deep they run.
  • Test spot first, always. I correct one small section with the least aggressive pad and compound combination that will do the job, then show it to you. Only once we both like the result does the rest of the car get done. That protects your clear coat and means there are no surprises.
  • Single-stage polish for lightly marred paint, or a multi-stage cut-and-refine on paint that needs more.
  • Panel wipe-down to strip polishing oils so you are seeing the true corrected finish, not a temporary filler.
  • Protection applied on top — wax, sealant or a ceramic coating — because bare corrected paint should never be left unprotected.

Who it's for: dark and black cars showing swirls, cars that have been through automatic tunnel washes, older paint that has gone dull or hazy, and anyone about to put a ceramic coating on. Coat a swirled car and you lock the swirls in for years — correct first.

Long-term protection

Ceramic Coating

A ceramic coating is a hard, chemically-bonded layer that sits on top of your clear coat. It makes water bead and sheet off, makes the car dramatically easier to wash, resists bird bombs, tree sap and road salt far better than wax, and adds serious gloss. New England throws sand, salt, pollen and sun at your paint all year — a coating is the single best defense there is.

Prep is included, and prep is most of the job

  • Decontamination wash, iron removal and clay treatment.
  • Polishing appropriate to the tier and the condition of the paint — a coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so the paint gets corrected first.
  • Full panel wipe with a dedicated prep solution so the coating bonds to bare, clean clear coat.
  • Coating applied panel by panel and leveled by hand, then left to flash and cure.
  • Aftercare instructions so you know how to wash it and how long to keep it out of the rain.

Four tiers — pick the horizon that fits

3-Month A ceramic-infused sealant. The low-commitment way to feel what a coating does. Great before winter or before a summer of beach trips, and a smart trial if you have never had one.
1-Year An entry-level true coating. Full season of beading, easier washes and real gloss for a fraction of the long-tier cost. The best value-per-dollar option for a daily driver.
3-Year The sweet spot for most people. Harder, thicker and far more chemical-resistant, with the correction work to match. Covers a car through several New England winters.
5-Year The flagship. Maximum durability, maximum gloss, the most thorough paint correction beforehand. For cars you intend to keep, and for finishes worth protecting properly.

Who it's for: anyone who plans to keep the car more than a season and is tired of waxing it every few months. Best value on a newer car with healthy paint, but older paint can be corrected first and coated with excellent results. Note that a longer tier costs more mostly because it demands more correction and prep — you are paying for the work under the coating as much as the coating itself.

Maintenance

Exterior Wash & Wax

The regular service that keeps everything else looking right. This is not a tunnel wash with a spinning brush — it is a proper hand wash designed to clean the car without putting new scratches into it, finished with a layer of protection.

The process

  • Wheels, tires and wheel wells cleaned first, faces and barrels both.
  • Thick foam pre-wash left to dwell so grit lifts and rinses away before anything touches the paint.
  • Two-bucket contact wash with clean media, top down, rinsing often.
  • Bug and tar spots addressed on the front end and mirrors.
  • Hand dry with plush towels plus a blower for mirrors, grilles, badges and jambs so nothing drips later.
  • Wax or sealant applied for protection and gloss, tires dressed, exterior glass cleaned.

Who it's for: cars already in good shape that just need upkeep, and anyone maintaining a corrected or coated finish between bigger services. Fits nicely into a weekday evening slot. Book it on a recurring basis and the car never gets bad enough to need a full detail.

Inside the car

Interior Deep Clean

The part of the car you actually sit in. Sand from the beach, dog hair, spilled coffee, road salt tracked in all winter, that film that builds up on the dash and the inside of the windshield — all of it comes out.

The process

  • Everything loose removed, mats out, full vacuum — carpets, seats, seat rails, under the seats, trunk, and the crevices along the console.
  • Carpet and cloth upholstery shampooed and agitated, then extracted so dirt leaves the car instead of moving around in it.
  • Leather cleaned gently and conditioned where it is fitted.
  • Plastics, vinyl and door cards cleaned and dressed to a clean satin finish — no greasy shine, no dust magnet.
  • Vents, switchgear, cup holders, door pockets and screen bezels detailed with brushes and swabs.
  • Interior glass cleaned to a streak-free finish, including the inside of the windshield where the haze lives.

Who it's for: family cars, dog owners, work trucks, anyone who eats in the car, and anyone about to sell or hand a car down. Also worth doing on its own if the outside is already in good shape — a clean interior changes how the car feels far more than most people expect.
